DANIEL J. KOLEOS
Dan is AV® Preeminent ™ Rated, Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He is a native of West Palm Beach, Florida and has been litigating in Federal and Florida state courts for over 28 years.
Dan served thirteen years on active duty in the United States Marine Corps from 1978 to 1991. He was one of ten Marine Corps officers specially selected in 1982 to attend law school, and he graduated from Stetson University College of Law in 1985, under a fully funded Federal program. Dan is a former Judge Advocate (1985-1991) and Special Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia (1985-1988) and District of South Carolina (1988-1991). While in the Marine Corps, Dan made two overseas deployments and was awarded three Navy Commendation Medals and a Navy Achievement Medal for meritorious service.
Dan began his private practice in 1991 and is a former partner of Luks, Koleos & Santaniello, P.A., Hinshaw & Culbertson and Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell, P.A. He has been a member of The Florida Bar since 1985 and he is also a member of the bars of the United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, United States Court of Military Appeals, and the United States District Court for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. Dan is also a member of the American Bar Association Tort and Insurance Law Section, Defense Research Institute and Florida Defense Lawyers Association.
Dan’s practice areas range from first party life, health and disability litigation, professional liability (medical, nursing home, legal, insurance broker/agent, real estate broker/agent, accountant, engineering, developer and general contractor), premises liability and products liability to general insurance and coverage litigation. He also handles high exposure, catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases, as well as complex Federal litigation, such as ERISA, RICO, securities and medical device litigation under the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act.
Dan resides in Plantation, Florida with his wife, Debi.
ALAN S. ROSENBERG
Alan is AV® Preeminent ™ Rated, Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He is a 1993 graduate of the University of Miami, School of Law (cum laude) and a 1990 graduate of the George Washington University, in Washington, D.C.
Alan served as a member and Associate Editor on the University of Miami, Inter-American Law Review and ranked as a finalist in the Moot Court Appellate Competition. He made Dean’s List on numerous occasions and received the Dean’s Honor Scholarship while at the University of Miami, School of Law. While attending GWU, Alan worked at the Department of Justice/Office of the Inspector General and served on investigation teams in New York and Washington, D.C.
Alan has been a member of The Florida Bar since 1993 and is also admitted to practice law in Washington, D.C. He is also a member of the bars of the United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. Additionally, Alan is a member of the Dade and Broward County Bar Associations, Defense Research Institute, Florida Defense Lawyers Association and the American Bar Association. He is a former member of Hinshaw & Culbertson and a former partner of Luks, Koleos & Santaniello, P.A.
Alan’s practice areas focus on business and commercial litigation; contract and business counsel; insurance coverage litigation; first party litigation; Life, Health, Disability and ERISA litigation; professional liability, commercial auto and premises liability defense. He specializes in high exposure cases in both Federal and State court and is active in arbitration proceedings.
